Raíces de América (1981) - Volume II
With a group of musicians living in São Paulo, Brazilians, Chileans and Argentines, we created on January, 1980 the band “Raíces de América”. Our goal was to show, wuthout raising any old flags, the latin american music and poetry, only partially or almost unknown, in Brazil.
We created an exciting show and
e had our fist LP Album recorded by Eldorado Records Studio.
We've crossed Brazil from Spouth to North, giving and receiving Love. The wisdom words of Pablo Neruda
had always ruled our steps :
Yo solo vengo a cantar, y para que cantes
comigo.
This is our second album, with songs from the 1981 show. Album and show are the chapter two of a fascinating book called América. It's time to find better ways and exits for our hardly beaten continent. Our new musical thematic has a forest enlighted name : Hope...
Complementing Neruda, these verses define the band proposal:
...Traigo la esperanza en mi
canción, manos enlazadas sin revanchas ni
rencor.
